Cosmetic & General Dentistry

Your smile is your calling card and says a lot about you before you even speak. If your smile isn’t saying what you want it to, you have lots of options. Cosmetic dentistry includes a wide variety of treatments that can address one or many esthetic problems.

At the office of Dr. John Park, our goal is to help you achieve excellent dental health. But it’s equally important to have a smile that makes you feel good about the way you look. After all, you carry it everywhere you go!

What Is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is an area that focuses on esthetic treatments and restorations. Basically, just about any dental treatment that improves the appearance of your smile can be considered cosmetic dentistry.

But there’s no clear line between cosmetic dentistry and other dental treatments. For instance, dental crowns and implants are thought to be restorative but can also be considered cosmetic since the end result is a more attractive smile. On the other hand, porcelain veneers are cosmetic in nature but can also correct spacing and minor alignment issues that improve your oral health.

Cosmetic Treatments to Fit Every Need

With all the new treatments and materials at our disposal, there really is no esthetic problem we can’t resolve. We can use any one or a combination of several procedures to deliver results that exceed your expectations.

Professional Teeth Whitening: This is the most popular and affordable solution for refreshing a drab or discolored smile. Our take-home kits are easy to use and provide outstanding results in just a couple weeks.

Porcelain Veneers: Veneers are thin porcelain covers that are bonded to the surface of your teeth. They can be used to correct flaws like unevenly spaced, chipped, or broken teeth. Since veneers blend so naturally with your smile, we can use them on just one tooth or on several teeth.

Tooth-Colored Fillings: It’s important to fill teeth that are damaged, but you don’t have to compromise your appearance for healthy, stable teeth. Tooth-colored fillings, also known as composite fillings, look great because they blend seamlessly with your teeth.

Porcelain Crowns: Crowns are a type of restoration that is commonly used to fix a damaged tooth. But crowns encase your whole tooth, so they can also be used to alter the shape of a tooth or conceal severe staining.

Dental Implants and Dentures: Missing teeth are just plain unattractive. They make you want to hide your smile and also lead to other oral health problems. Dental implants are a permanent tooth replacement that is durable and restores function. If you’re missing several or all of your teeth, we can recommend a natural-looking full or partial denture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we offer a wide variety of general dental services including tooth extraction. If you are having an emergency, we can usually see you the same day to get you the relief you need.

Losing a tooth for any reason can be a difficult experience for anyone. After all, you were probably hoping that your teeth would stay intact for a long, long time! So the thought of losing the tooth, combined with the prospect of extraction can be a little overwhelming.

We completely understand this reaction, and that is why our team is trained to respond to your worries with care and compassion. Our patients know they can count on us to provide the best dental care possible, and we’ve performed many safe, comfortable tooth extractions over the years.

It’s our goal to do everything possible to preserve your teeth. But extracting a tooth may be our only option for protecting your dental health and avoiding more complicated problems in the future.

If we need to recommend extraction, we will explain why the procedure is needed and how it will benefit you. You can be confident that we will be with you every step of the way to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible.

We know that cost is a big consideration, and we want to do everything we can to make quality dental care accessible to everyone. We’re happy to offer CareCredit as a financing option to cover the cost of your treatment.

CareCredit is basically a line of credit that can be used to finance dental care and other wellness treatments like chiropractic, Lasik, and more. At your next visit, we will be happy to tell you more about CareCredit and help you with your application if you decide that it’s right for you.
